Paper Dry Mounting Options...

Standard: You can opt to have your image mounted to our Standard mounting board (1/8"). This process uses a dry tissue adhesive that is activated by heat and pressure.

Artcare™ Restore™: This is an archival low-temperature heat-activated foamboard (3/16") that actively protects art from the harmful effects of outgassing and from damaging pollutants.

Unmounted:

Images that are not mounted are printed with a 1/4" white border.

*Lightfastness ratings denote years before noticeable fading and/or changes in color balance; unframed prints, bare-bulb (no UV filter). Lightfastness only estimates the life of the ink, not the media. (http://www.wilhelm-research.com/epson/9600.html)

Canvas Printing:

Canvas
  • Highest resolution canvas coating for outstanding reproductions
  • Unique texture for true artist look
  • Heavyweight for quality feel
  • Acid free 100% cotton archival quality base
  • Stretchable for framing
  • Lightfastness: 47 years

Canvas Finishes:

All canvases should be coated for protection and to extend the lifespan of the artwork. We offer two UV-resistant coating options:

UV Luster Laminate
This finish will make bright colors “pop” with rich blacks and an increase in the color gamut.
UV Matte Laminate
A low-reflective finish eliminates glare, protects from fading and softens your image without flattening it and keeps those colors rich. Ideal for images that demand a great view at any angle.

Uncoated Canvas: Order uncoated only if you are an experienced framer who plans to coat and stretch the canvas yourself. Uncoated canvases are only available in unstretched canvas and they are extremely fragile. Water and any handling can damage them. Images printed on canvas but not stretched are printed with a 1-1/2" white border.

Canvas Stretching and Wrapping Options:

Standard Wrap

The print is stretched and stapled to the side of wood stretcher bars. These canvases will require framing for display. (A support brace is added when one side of the stretched canvas is greater than 36”)
Museum Wrap

A museum wrap involves stapling on the back of the stretcher so that the sides are white. (Up to 1/4" of the image may wrap over the side.) Does not require a frame to be displayed. (Requires a 1-1/2" wide, white border around the entire image. The maximum image size is 37" x 57".)
Gallery Wrap

A gallery wrap takes the image all the way around the canvas. Does not require a frame to be displayed. (The outer 1-1/2" of your entire image will wrap around the stretchers. The maximum image size is 37" x 57".)
